ADIDAS 2012 HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN

We were tasked to create a campaign for the holiday season to promote the brand, as well as engage our consumers in an immersive and participatory experience. We decided to retell the classic holiday tale “A Christmas Carol” - but in a very Snoop way. 


The Campaign Launched on Black Friday with four simple teasers. Two examples are highlighted below.  All of the teasers ended with #bahhumbizle to get social media channels talking about the campaign before the launch of our main piece of content on the following Monday. 

We collaborated with the legendary J.J. Sedelmaier. With his long history of work including Beavis & Butthead, Harvey Birdman Attourney at Law, The Ambiguously Gay Duo, as well as many other TV Funhouse productions through SNL. He was without a doubt the perfect person to help us bring our holiday story to life. 

In addition to the film content, we created a Facebook App. After consumers watch our film, they are prompted to see if they themselves are an ‘Ebenezer’ too. We scanned peoples Facebook profiles to see if they have been an Ebenezer or not. Not attending events, not liking posts on their wall, not wishing friends happy birthday are all signs that a user has lost their holiday spirit. Ultimately, Snoop himself will then show the person how they’re full of Bah-Humbizzle. Users who find that they are indeed an Ebenezer of the holiday season have a chance to redeem themselves by sending their friends an e-card apology.
