What up. I'm a writer at Wieden + Kennedy in sunny Portland,Oregon.

This is some stuff I had fun making and dropping on the world. Enjoy most of it with headphones.
NIKE BASKETBALL
Basketball Never Stops.
Pretty Simple. Nike needed to sell shoes even though the NBA was locked out. Our solution was simple too. Celebrate all the basketball that exists outside the NBA. It started with the ABOVE tweet from LeBron James, months before a spot would ever run. It was followed by College Hoops embracing the movement. And finally, we dropped three spots on the world.
1. The Anthem entitled Spotlight
2. LeBron James: Shine
3. Kevin Durant: Paint the town.

Basketball Never Stops: SPOTLIGHT

For us, the NBA lockout was irrelevant, b/c from Harlem to China, LeBron to Amare, high schoolers to h.o.r.s.e players, Dirk to KD, J.Cole to dunking mascots, Sue Bird to Coach K, Questove to fast breakers, Basketball Never Stops.

LeBron James: SHINE

LeBron is a man on a mission. A man with unfinished business. And a man who knows the only way to get to the promised land is to put in work, no matter where he is, or what is happening around him. Because for LeBron James, Basketball Never Stops.

KD: Paint the Town

Kevin Durant embodies an unstoppable passion for the game. So with a soundtrack provided by the legendary vocalist Sam Cooke, Kevin Durant takes to the Oklahoma City streets to show that Basketball Never Stops for any of us.

FOOT LOCKER: THE EDUCATORS 2

I did not work on this campaign the first year of it’s existence, but when asked to be the writer for the sequel of the work, I was excited to put my personal stamp on the movement. While the TV spot was cool, it was the web experience that we created that truly got me excited about working on this job. Watch the spot that pushed viewers to enroll in The Footlocker Advantage Academy and after the spot, see how it all worked on the digital side of things.

THE EDUCATORS TWO DIGITAL EXPERIENCE

Please enjoy my soothing narration through the web component to our campaign.

NIKE
The University of Conneticut, better known as UCONN was the winner of the 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Nike asked us to congratulate the team with a print ad in their local paper. I decided to kill two birds with one stone.
1. Congratulate UCONN
2. Apologize on behalf of the University for ruining the President’s March Madness bracket where he picked Kansas to win it all and didn’t even have UCONN in the Final Four.
The coolest part about this project: Getting permission from the White House to run it.

Sorry about your bracket, Mr. President.
Just Do It.
